This was a popular activity at a family STEM night, where our high school volunteers ran the activities for younger children and their families The volunteers read the story to the children. The pieces are durable, and children really enjoyed putting the pieces together. You do need water to fill the tub, and I recommend having sponges on hand for any water spills.

We love this! Every time this is pulled out a new activity or way of playing or engagement method is used. I love that imagination run wild! This is our first of the STEM fantasy sets however it will not be the last!

My child loves the Gingerbread Man story. The plastic pieces and tub you fill with water are durable. It's a fun activity that allows my child to explore creative problem solving using trial and error. The guide does offer some building suggestions for young engineers.

My 5 yo son love loves the Gingerbread Man and was so excited to see the characters and receive the challenge after reading the story. We tried several plans for bridges and rafts. They all failed and we had to continue revising. After about a half dozen attempts we built a raft buoyant enough to keep the mans feet out of the water!

What fun the kids will have getting to play in water while being critical thinkers.
