Great Math Manipulative!

January 28, 2023 - By Lorrainefrom Los Angeles, CA

I look forward to using these coins with my kids at home. We can use them for discussing place value, addition, subtraction, and multiplication. I think my kids will enjoy using them for math and pretend play at home.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

foam coins

August 17, 2020 - By norma aguilerafrom Larchmont,NY

As a manipulative, they are great to have around. They are color coded to be used with other products like the Student Place Value Practice Boards or Place Value Hands-On Student Pack (All products have purple ones, blue tens, etc.) As far as durability, foam seems somewhat thin. Since I am using it at home only one child will be using it, so I think they will last a good amount of time. However, I would have preferred if the coins were plastic.

Yes, I would recommend this product.

Great for place value unit!

November 04, 2017 - By ChicagoTeacherfrom Chicago, IL

My students really love these and I love that all of lakeshores place value materials follow the same color pattern. It makes it very easy for students to visualize. My one request would be can you make a kit that offers more than 240? I had to buy two kits and even that wasn't enough for a class of 20 kids to each have their own. Otherwise the quality is great and will definitely be buying some more in the future.

Yes, I would recommend this product.
